LUMBER PRODUCTION & PROCESSING
Using our Woodmizer LT40HD we are able to cut logs up to 33’ long and generate, on average, 350 board feet of dimensional lumber per hour. Additionally, our Woodmizer LX250 is a dedicated slabbing mill that can cut logs up to 56” wide at a maximum of 16’ long.
Our iDry Plus Vacuum kiln offers superior and faster drying over conventional dehumidification kilns. Our kiln utilizes a continuous vacuum to dry by lowering the temperature at which water boils (evaporates).By drying at a low temperature we can accelerate the drying time without harming the wood or any quality loss in the final and dried product. This kiln allows us to dry lumber in weeks rather than years!
Traditionally, one of the downsides of purchasing a single large slab for a table, bar top or island, is finding a company with a planer or drum sander large enough to accommodate it. Large planers are very heavy and incredibly expensive. And, oftentimes, large companies that have these capabilities do not offer this service to the public. With our Wood-wiz flattening table we are able to provide this service. Our Wood-Wiz can accommodate slabs and/or table tops up to 72” wide and 20’ long.
UTILIZING A LOCAL RESOURCE
All of our slabs and lumber are produced at our lumberyard in Bogart, Georgia. Logs are acquired locally from storm damaged trees, homeowners, graders and local tree services. By utilizing these local companies, we are removing over one ten thousand tons of landfill waste per year. In addition, acquiring local greatly reduces our carbon footprint.
